Forget and Not Slow Down

One of my favorite bands of all time is a Christian pop-punk band called Relient K (yes, named after the car of the same name). In 2009, they released an album called "Forget and Not Slow Down". I have yet to listen to the album, but regardless, I just felt the Lord was telling me that this album title is also a message to His people. We need to let go of the past and really propel forward in Christ, however that looks in your life. We need to "Forget and not slow down"!

Philippians 3:13 - No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead...

Let's Learn to Love Each Other.

No, there's no class you can take on it. It's not something that comes to you in a dream. Love is a door. You can open it, or close it. But the door is still there. You can walk away from a door, or run up to one. Either way, YOU have to intentionally choose to open or close it.

When Christ died, He gave us a door. It's an unlocked door. It's a door of Love. And guess what? It opens up right to Him! Sin previously kept that door locked. No access. "Keep out sign". But instead of saying "keep out", Christ said "come in!" So, what does that mean? We need to start opening our doors. Everyone has one. But is it open? Who's it open to? Who's it closed to? God made everyone a door, but we have to choose to open it. To Him, to people...

You don't know who's at your front door when someone knocks (unless you got a peephole, lol). Either way, you choose to open it. Is there risk? Yep. Sometimes you don't know who's on the other side. Does it take effort? Yes. But...if you open it, someone can now come in. Let Christ come into your life, then trust Him to let other people come in! We need God, and we need each OTHER.

Love Is a Door.

REVELATION 3:20 - "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in..."
